Christian obtained a DPhil in Materials Science from the University of Oxford and then pursued a career in Nanotechnology and Nanocharacterisation working with companies like Samsung and IBM and in roles at Sharp Electronics and Oxford Instruments. He is Managing Director of Oxford Instruments NanoAnalysis, a leading provider of scientific instrumentation, and a non-executive director of IotaSciences, a bio-tech spin-out from Oxford University targeting instrumentation in the Cell & Gene therapy space. Across Oxford Instruments and IotaSciences, Christian has been involved with projects that target many of world’s pressing technology challenges around climate change and healthcare. Christian has extensive experience of doing business as well as running development teams in China.
