Mark Hedley is Deputy-Head of Investment Promotion at InvestHK, the government department responsible for attracting and retaining Foreign Direct Investment into Hong Kong. Mark has a 20-year long career in trade and FDI promotion and strategic consulting and has worked extensively with clients in the innovation & technology, healthcare and life sciences sectors.

Mark previously spent several years working in on-the-ground China market entry consulting roles, helping Western MNCs and startups undertake market research, conduct business development and form strategic partnerships. He also spent a decade as Director for Knowledge Economy at the China-Britain Business Council, leading a variety of strategic initiatives supporting two-way trade and investment for clients in the technology, healthcare and life sciences sectors.

A fluent Mandarin speaker, Mark holds a Masters in Chinese Business and International Relations from the University of Sheffield and an MBA from Lancaster University.
