Councillor Nick Small: Councillor Nick Small is Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet Member for Growth and Economy, where he leads initiatives to support the city’s economic development. A lifelong Liverpudlian, he holds an MA in Politics from the University of Edinburgh and an MBA in Business Finance and Management from the University of Liverpool. Before entering public service, he spent 11 years as a management consultant with Grant Thornton and KPMG, specialising in the financial sector.
Cllr Small has also played a key role in strengthening Liverpool’s international partnerships, particularly with China. He has led a number of investment delegations to major Chinese cities, including a visit to Guangzhou in August 2024, aimed at deepening educational and commercial ties.
