Trey McArver is the co-founder of Trivium/China, a global strategic advisory firm helping multinational companies and international investors craft and execute their China strategies. He works with clients across a range of industries to help them navigate China’s rapidly evolving geopolitical and regulatory landscape.

Before founding Trivium in 2017, Trey was the director of China research at TS Lombard, where he advised asset managers and hedge funds on developments in China's economy and financial markets.

Prior to that, he was director in charge of public affairs at consultancy North Head in Beijing, where he helped multinational companies to design and execute engagement and advocacy strategies.

Trey holds an MA in economics and international relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a BA from Columbia University. He first moved to China in 2003 and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
