Yin Noe

Head of UK & EU, YRD Automotive Alliance

Yin Noe is a pioneering entrepreneur and the Head of UK & EU for the Yangtze River Delta Auto Industry Alliance, China’s biggest automotive alliance with over 500+ members including OEMs, research institutions, startups and social organisations in the YRD region such as Geely, SAIC, Chery, Huawei, CATL, NIO, JAC Motors, Leapmotor, CALB, Chinalco, and many more.

She was awarded by Financial Times, EQL:HER and Google as one of the UK’s Top 50 Most Inspiring Women in Tech 2021 and for Europe in 2022, the youngest winner and the first from Myanmar. Prior to her current role, Yin co-founded PennyChain, a B2C mobile app that won awards from Imperial College London and was chosen as one of the 12 startups of Techstars '22 London Cohort. She holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of St Andrews and an MSc in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Management from Imperial College London.

Yin's entrepreneurial journey also includes founding Coillection, a social enterprise specialising in used cooking oil recycling to biodiesel, which won awards and secured funding from Imperial and Shell. She was a semi-finalist for the Mayor of London’s Entrepreneur of the Year. Beyond her ventures, she actively mentors startups and organises funding events as an Associate for the Gandhi Centre for Inclusive Innovation.

In her role as Head of UK & EU, Yin serves as a catalyst for introducing Chinese automotive innovation to new markets. She plays a crucial role in facilitating dialogue and negotiations between Chinese OEM executives and EMEA businesses, focusing on areas such as electric vehicles, battery technology, vehicle charging infrastructure, hydrogen fuel vehicles, and enhancements to national grid networks. Through her leadership and dedication to sustainable progress, Yin is actively shaping the landscape of the automotive industry, ensuring its evolution towards a more environmentally conscious and technologically advanced future.
